Fueling Permanent Escapes from Poverty

At a time when one in four New Yorkers lives in poverty, today’s gathering represents a powerful commitment to the belief that every New Yorker deserves a fair shot—regardless of their starting point in life.

All proceeds from today’s conference fund programs that create lasting pathways out of poverty. Since its launch in 2013, the conference has generated more than $65 million to strengthen the infrastructure of opportunity across the five boroughs, funding the programs and partnerships that help New Yorkers permanently escape poverty. Last year, Robin Hood created 2,220 affordable housing units, reached 350,000 K-12 students with a science-of-reading-based literacy curriculum across 1,000 schools, and distributed over 100 million pounds of fresh food to New Yorkers – including more than 50 million pounds of fresh produce.

“The Robin Hood Investors Conference boasts an impressive 13-year legacy: offering exclusive market insights and dynamic discussions with some of the most extraordinary investors in the world while driving impact and changing lives. It is really a not-to-be-missed event. The funds generated through ticket sales help New Yorkers across the five boroughs secure an affordable apartment, access their next meal, receive a high-quality education, or land a career-track job. Thanks to J.P. Morgan’s longstanding partnership in presenting the conference, we continue to strive to make New York City an engine of economic opportunity for all,” said Robin Hood Board Chair Ken Tropin, Chairman at Graham Capital Management.
