Statement on NYC's 2025 Budget Handshake Agreement

“Robin Hood applauds Mayor Adams and Council Speaker Adams for reaching a handshake agreement that prioritizes access to 3-K and Pre-K, special education services in the preschool setting, and child care access for immigrant children.

At a time when 80% of families citywide are unable to afford child care or after school services, investments in early education and expanding access to child care are smart steps that help ensure all New Yorkers have a fair shot at succeeding in life.

We will continue to work with the administration and city council to support the robust community outreach and engagement necessary to help families access programs that meet their needs. We have a long way to go, but together we can make New York City the best place in the world to raise children.”
