While Robin Hood’s Poverty Tracker is not designed to track official police stops as defined by the NYPD, in this report we use the data to understand individual, household, and community perspectives on how the police impact life in New York City. This report highlights that, despite Mayor de Blasio’s commitment to end stop-and-frisk policing, police in NYC still remain more likely to stop Black New Yorkers than white and Hispanic New Yorkers.
