NYC Public Schools is the largest public school system in the country, serving nearly 1 million students, more than two-thirds are considered economically disadvantaged. NYC Public Schools’ community schools model is designed to integrate academics, health and mental health services, expanded learning opportunities, and family support into the fabric of the school environment, an approach proven to support low-income students by boosting graduation rates, reducing chronic absenteeism, and helping students matriculate to the next grade on time.
Robin Hood has partnered with NYC Public Schools to launch 20 new “Next Generation” Community Schools for the 2023-24 school year.
