Learn more about how Robin Hood and grantee One Brooklyn Health are transforming maternity and pediatric care for New Yorkers

Founded in 2016, One Brooklyn Health provides greater access to high-quality, comprehensive healthcare to the communities of Brownsville, East Flatbush and East New York, neighborhoods which have historically experienced systematic disinvestment in basic social supports, including chronic underinvestment in quality health care.

In New York City, Black women are eight times more likely to die in childbirth than their white counterparts, and Black infants are three times more likely to die before their first birthday compared with white infants. Robin Hood funds OBH to address the stark disparities in maternal and child health that disproportionately impact Black and Latino communities, supporting the development of a new Maternal and Child Health Initiative and advancing evidence-based approaches to support mothers, infants and families.
